Revelation is the one book in the Bible that tells us up front “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keeps those things which are written in it for the time is near.” Rev. 1:3. Also, Revelation OPENS WITH: The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His bond-servants the things that must soon occur. And CLOSES WITH: And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. It is no coincidence the same phrase bookends Daniel’s interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. One of the purposes of Revelation is to explain the Book of Daniel and of course, we see Daniel quoted in the Book of Revelation. NB: 1. Most important – Revelation explains what will occur during the 70th week of Daniel, the seven years before Jesus returns to earth to rule and reign from Jerusalem.
